Frequently asked questions

Everything you might be wondering before signing up.

The basics

What does BP Tracker actually do?

You log blood pressure readings (manually or, soon, by snapping a photo of your cuff display). The app charts the trend, splits AM and PM averages, classifies each reading per AHA stages, and lets you export a clean PDF for your doctor. You can do all of this for one person on the free plan, or multiple people on Pro.

Is this a medical device?

No. BP Tracker is a logging and reporting tool. It does not diagnose any condition, does not alert you to dangerous readings, and does not replace your doctor. Always consult a healthcare professional regarding your blood pressure.

How is this different from Apple Health, Omron, or Qardio?

Those apps are built around a single user and usually a specific Bluetooth cuff. BP Tracker is built for caregivers tracking multiple people, with no required hardware and a doctor-ready PDF export.

Hardware & data entry

Do I need a Bluetooth blood pressure cuff?

No. The app works with any cuff — including the manual one you probably already own. You just type in the systolic and diastolic numbers from the display.

Will I be able to scan the cuff with my camera?

Yes — that feature (we call it "snap & log") is in the works for v1.1. For now, manual entry takes about 5 seconds.

Can I import readings from another app?

Not yet. If you have a CSV from another tracker and want to migrate, email us — we'll help by hand for the first wave of users.

Plans & billing

What's in the free plan?

1 patient, the last 120 days of readings, the trend chart, AHA stage badges, and all sign-in methods. Most features that are gated to Pro are caregiver-focused (multiple patients, full history, PDF reports).

How do I cancel?

One click from your subscription page. You keep Pro until the end of your paid period, then drop back to Free. Nothing is deleted automatically — your data stays in your account.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes — within 14 days of your first Pro charge, email us for a full refund. After that, just cancel to stop future billing.

Privacy

Do you sell my data?

No. We sell software subscriptions. We do not run ads, sell datasets, or share readings with any third party for marketing.

Is my data HIPAA-protected?

HIPAA applies to "covered entities" — hospitals, insurers, and certain providers. BP Tracker is a personal logging tool used by you, not a covered entity, so HIPAA does not technically apply. That said, we still treat your data with the same kind of care: encrypted in transit, isolated per account, never sold.

Can I delete my account?

Yes — request deletion from your settings, or email [email protected]. We remove your account and all associated readings within 30 days.

Where is my data stored?

On encrypted servers in the United States. Payment data is handled by Stripe (we never see your card details). See our Privacy Policy for full detail.

Devices

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes — open the site in Safari and tap "Add to Home Screen". It runs as a full-screen app from there.

Is there an Android Play Store app?

Yes — available now on the Google Play Store. You can also install it directly from Chrome on any device using "Add to Home screen".

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes. Readings save to your account in real time, so the app needs Wi-Fi or cellular data when you're logging or viewing data. That's also what lets phone, tablet, and web all show the same numbers.
